Tithes refer to the practice of giving a tenth or 10% of one's income or resources to support the work of the church and its ministries. It is a biblical principle that dates back to the Old Testament. Offering, on the other hand, is a voluntary act of giving that goes beyond the tithe. The benefit of tithing is that there are special promises in the Bible just for you. Let me give you 2 of them. PROVERBS 3:9-10. 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brimover with new wine.
